don’t miss the BOAT: Facts to Keep Your Faith Afloat by Paul Taylor

I was excited about getting this for my classroom; “Here is your comprehensive guide to creationist thinking on the flood in an easy to understand style!” is what the back of the book reads. I need that! As I read through the book I found that along with innumerable facts Paul Taylor includes nice black and white pictures throughout the text. Between clever storytelling and what seem infinite sources of research you find out the truth of Noah and his ark. Woven throughout the book are succinct details including scriptures and the Hebrew translation of specific words for more clarity. Conversations discussing creationism vs. evolution are also meaty within.  I believe as the author stated, Christian researchers today have created a sound 50 years of strong historical facts that are scientifically valid. The timelines included of the arc are also worth looking at and teaching students in detail. This is definitely information that you won’t see in any public school history class. Parents and teachers of private Christian facilities should take the time and opportunity to  review this information and create inquiry in their children producing students who know why they believe what they believe rather than just believing what they have been told. From a teacher’s perspective this is perfect for use as part of curriculum or supporting studies for the school year for students. From my personal perspective Christians should include these types of text in their Apologetics studies. This book was published by Master Books, a division of New Leaf Publishing Group.
